I have received a number of emails from performers who would like to play in the series, but not submit through Sonicbids. Please understand that there are expenses associated with the series...publicity, the website, equipment for venues that do not have a PA system, etc., and the Sonicbids submission fee helps to cover some of those expenses. Ideally, the money collected at shows should be split among the artists to cover some of their expenses, not cover the cost of the series. Thanks for understanding. Guidelines: 1) All performers must agree to perform mostly original songs with acoustic instrumentation. 2) All songs performed must be positive (leave the downers at home, will ya?) with themes and lyrics appropriate for an all ages show. 3) No profanity, please. Children will be present, and we know how exciting certain words can be to young listeners. And we know how excited they can be to repeat those words to the embarrassment of their parents. And we don't want that. 4) Performers are free to sell merchandise - CDs, t-shirts, hats, etc. 5) Most shows are free, therefore compensation is not guaranteed. The tip bucket will be passed, some administrative costs may be deducted with the remainder split among the performers. 6) Bring your crowd!
